Sienna was excited to take over the Guest Room as her own! She had ideas for her new room set up and I was like, let’s do it! Love how it all came together. It’s giving coastal neutral! In today’s post I’m sharing all the links and details of our teenagers room refresh. Amazon is my bestie these days- so happy with my finds! Our teenager is loving her new vanity + shelves, beach wall art and the strung up lights.

The wall color is Basalt Powder by Sherwin Williams.
We have this throughout our home as our main neutral-cool toned paint color.
I love how it keeps the room bright! The day I filmed and snapped these photos, it was SO gloomy rainy outside….and yet it still feels comfy and bright in her room.
We looked for MONTHS to find a good vanity set up for her. We knew we wanted her to have storage with open shelves and a desk with drawers…but I was surprised how hard it was to find something that was the look we wanted and that wasn’t a small fortune. haha. I ended up finding these bookshelves and desk separately and they looked so good when grouped together in the room! The mirror and chair(IKEA) we already had. Eventually we are going to get a girly stool but haven’t found one just yet. This has been a great set up for her- she’s always in there doing her skin care routine – living her best life haha. (The clear storage containers are finds from Home Goods and TJMaxx. Be on the look out – they usually have a variety of them.

The white string lights are from Target – I grabbed them when they were on sale..but they’re only $15/set normally so a great deal.
Her Murphy bed was a purchase from our neighbors who were moving. I’m pretty sure they said it was from Costco.
We wanted to make her Murphy bed have a “look” of a headboard…so I just wrapped some wood with beachy textured fabric I got at Joanns. Staple gunned it to the back and tacked it up with two tiny nails. Murphy bed still works because it’s so thin.
For the bedding we did a KING sized duvet (she has a queen bed.) It just gave it more of a full look. The Duvet Comforter Insert is so fluffy and comfy- I have the same insert on my bed. I love white bedding because it can be bleached for an easy clean. We are still working on the pillows/shams, but for now these are working!

This photo wall was one of the first things Sienna had mentioned wanting to do in her room! We looked at doing wallpaper but it was too expensive and honestly I didn’t know if I wanted to brave that project haha. But then I found these collage kits on Amazon and they were exactly the style of photos she wanted! Great price – we did 3 packs and had leftovers. She LOVES this detail in her room and these photos are a great alternative to wallpaper. It went up SO FAST and was so much cheaper to do.
I knew I wanted to get her a full length mirror, because she was always coming into my room to use mine haha. So I snagged this one at Walmart…the rounded corners and color of wood were PERFECT. Next to it I hung up a shelf I already had from Target. She put her jewelry stand on it!

Her clothes storage is in her walk in closet (that door right there in the above photo.) She has a 9 cube organizer with bins…and then hanging clothes.
Are we connected on Instagram?? I’m always sharing progress videos of rooms in our home that I’m organizing or decorating for my family! @athomewithnatalie

October 11, 2023 at 2:02 pmHello Natalie, thanks for all your interesting contacts and links. I was just wondering if you could put your room makeovers on YouTube? Many people still like the platform and we can get more of a sense of the space, particularly those of us in a country for have to source similar items. You do have good ideas. Thanks again
