One thing I love about living in the Charlotte, NC area…we are just a few hours away from the beach! This summer we’ve already gone twice to North Myrtle beach. Once with the whole crew..and the other time was a girls’ trip! So much fun! Have you been?? I’ll share below some of our fave places to eat, shop and play!
THE BEACH! The place all of our kids were begging to go as soon as school was out for summer! :)
We made lots of fun memories at North Myrtle Beach. Snapping this photo I couldn’t believe how everyone seems so much older this year. Sometimes it does feel a little strange to not have a car seat or a tiny baby in a photo! lol. We are loving this chapter of life though and seeing everyone grow up and experience new things together!
This is the face of a child about to fling sand on you with a shovel. Don’t be fooled by that cuteness.
Last year Chase was a little nervous about the water…(pool and ocean. fine by me!!)
This year…Chase walked straight up to the ocean waves as if he was Moana or Moses (haha) and they were going to part for him!! Ben had to scoop him up before he would be knocked down by the wave. SOOO that made the beach trip more hands on FOR SURE. But with Ben and I both there to keep an eye on everyone it was a great time! We are thinking of going back one more time this summer. :) The ocean is such a beautiful place- makes you feel small for sure and just admire this world!
I think we left a few shells for you guys when you go. but just a few. lol.
I’m telling you….these boys were on the hunt for ALL THE SHELLS. They didn’t have it in them to turn down a shell once they touched it. It had to come home with them! haha. They kept finding full shells (completely intact) and going OOOHHHH A RARE ONEEEE! (as if they were collecting Pokemon cards.)
Don’t bring this up to ben. It’s a sore subject. literally. Our beach wagon was HEAVY on the way back to the car. hehe.
GREAT PLACES TO EAT:
The Hang Out. River City Cafe. The Southern House of Pancakes. Golden Egg.
ALSO..if you are headed to the beach…check out a place called A-Z Chillin -n- Grillin… it’s right on the water.
There is a public parking to right across the stress from it. So you can park there…go eat..and then hit the beach! It was a great set up for us one day.

We love 1. Broadway Beach
and 2. Barefoot Landing for food, shops and activities. Easy parking and lots of fun for everyone!
I love that their are “free” things for you to enjoy with your family too.

As a blogger…(where I’m my own boss and my office is in my house…) Summer is a bit tricky for me to do much work. I’m grateful though…my work is flexible enough where I can press pause when needed! I’ve been pouring a lot into family time this summer and getting things organized around here. That being said, I’ve had time to think about the content I want to focus on the rest of this year…and family photo dumps like this one are long overdue! Even on my Instagram…All the instagram pros will tell you to focus on reels..but I honestly miss the photo dumps! So I’m doing my best not to overthink what I post and share what makes me happy. Doing a little bit of it all! I’m grateful for everyone who follows a long!
