Stir Fry was one of the first meals I learned how to make.
My little bother and I would pretend like we had a cooking show while we made it.
I love the veggies with chicken… could NEVER for the life of me figure out the best sauce to go with it.
I usually ended up dashing it with some soy sauce. boring.
BUT YOU GUYS….
I have discovered amazingness. And you will love it too.
Now I’m horrible at exact measurements…
and that is the beauty of this recipe.
I’ll give you the general ingredients I used, and you can kinda
eyeball it when you make it too!
My husband and I loved it…
But most importantly…
the littles loved it!
Sienna actually ate ALL her broccoli and had 3 helpings more.

I found the recipe by bless this mess please who was sharing it on Lil’ Luna
and then tweaked the amount and used
red wine vinegar instead of regular vinegar.
I made HALF of this..Because I had a small mason jar
and it was PLENTY of sauce for our stir fry.
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup corn starch
1/2 cup cold water
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup (red wine) vinegar (she used regular)
Optional Pinch of red pepper flakes
1/2 cup cold water

Just pour the ingredients into a mason jar. (I had a small one.)
Then put the lid on, shake it up, and pour onto your veggies and chicken in your skillet!
Enjoy the deliciousness.
I can’t wait to use it on just a chicken and broccoli recipe.
This time I used fresh veggies but you could easily use a frozen mix
and make up your stir fry even quicker!
I love using Uncle Ben’s brown rice in the packets that you can just microwave.
I have issues with making rice any other way. don’t ask. haha

February 3, 2014 at 10:55 pmYum! Love Stir Fry- but I am super boring and anti creative and go for the stuff in the bottle…may venture out and try this sauce though. Oh and I get Uncle Ben’s Instant brown rice- 10 minutes on the stove and DONE! Even I can’t mess it up :-}

February 4, 2014 at 3:07 amRecipe looks/sounds yummy and I’ll definitely try it it soon. Let me help you out with your rice issues, there is nothing easier than boiling rice, really. You put it on when you start chopping and it will be done when the rest of the food is. The basic measurement you can just multiply the way you need is, take 1 cup of rice to 1.5 cups of water and put it in a regular pot together, lid on. Put on high. As soon as your water starts boiling, turn the heat off completely and leave the lid on. Your rice will just steam for the next 10 to 15 minutes (works with regular, brown, Basmati, etc. rice) while you fix the veggies etc..The rice is done when all liquid is gone, stir the rice to check, but don’t open the lid too often and make sure it stays on. The 1 part rice to 1.5 parts water ratio and the leave the lid on once the water boils do the trick. As long as you turn the heat off once your water boils there is no way you can burn the rice ;-). I hope the tips help and you’ll give it another try, it’s really so easy ;-). Thanks for the recipe – maks :-)

The reason rice is always perfect at Asian or any restaurants is because of a rice cooker. They are super simple to use and cook and keep your rice warm while you cook. One of those tools you never thought you’d use, but will love.
