This past weekend we finally were able to celebrate Sophia and Sienna’s August Birthdays!
I can’t wait to share all of the Shopkins Party Fun!
Editing photos AND a high school kid has a videography business and captured the party…
Can’t wait to see how that turns out!
Moving to Louisiana right around their birthdays made it a little too crazy to
throw a party right then, but we did celebrate each girl on her actual birth date.
Here’s some photos from Sophia’s special day!
My kids don’t really like cake very much so we went with ice cream sandwiches and “fancy” cupcakes!
The girls helped me roll the ice cream sandwiches in the sprinkles.
Super easy way to make them feel like a party! ;)
Sophia was SO HAPPY..they love birthdays.
After the boys went to sleep the girls and I each got a fork and taste tested the “fancy” cupcakes
as if we were the judges on Cake Wars. (They love that show!)
We all chose our favorites and said what we liked and didn’t like so much about each one.
Their was one with a little too much bacon flavoring for our taste. lol.
It’s funny when they say things that they have heard on the show… they know the phrases. ;)
Sienna went with me the day before to pick out something special to give her sister.
Sisters are the best. Sienna was so excited to give her gift..I thought she was going to just burst
with excitement. I had to give her multiple pep talks, “You CAN’T tell her what you got her….”
haha. These My Little Pony dolls were only $6.99! I let her get two because I knew they
would play them together. They were a hit. The girls have a bin in their room of little my
little ponies they have collected over the years and always end up lining them all up to play.
Sophia REALLY wanted the metal pencil box cases they were selling during the back to school shopping time. But they were like $10 bucks and up and I just couldn’t do it. She was kind of bummed when I had said no to the fancier pencil boxes…but took it like a champ. So when I saw that they were on sale after school had been underway, I snagged one up at a major discount!
She was SO HAPPY. I love then you can think of presents that are perfect for them.
Wait till you see the last present we got her…it was PERFECT for her.
Micah was ready to just eat the dessert.
So if you are trying to think of a present to get a child…
put this on your list!
It was the best reaction to a present we have gotten in a long time!!!
Sophia LOVES to whistle. sometimes…too much. lol.
So when Sienna and I saw this birdie in a cage at Target…
that whistles and repeats after you…we HAD to get it for our Sophia!
It was seriously the cutest thing seeing her open and play with it.
When you hold down the button you can say a message and
then next time you press the button it repeats you with the cutest birdie voice.
At bedtime I had it say night night sophia and she put it next to her bed.
It also sings little songs and has sayings.
It only chirps when you press the button…sooo.. my kind of noisy toy. haha.
I know what I’m getting my kids at Christmas…. (they come in different colors!)
Anyways, I just wanted to share her special birthday fun and
the presents that were a hit for our 8 year old.
I can’t wait to share their birthday party photos! It was a blast.
I’ve shared some photos on Instagram!
