A Sip n’ See Shower! Introduce your little one to everyone special in your life with a celebration!
Have it be an open house so people can drop by at different times.
I think this would be something so sweet to host for a friend who just had a baby. take care of all of details for them and set it up at their house. But i might do something like this for when i bring home baby #2! When we brought home sophia we had a makeshift party…i arrived home to a house full of family cooking out and balloons on the porch. i had a fantastic and easy labor (i didn’t even sweat.. she was out in 3 pushes..i know..hate me..) so it wasn’t too overwhelming for me…and i enjoyed showing off my sweetie and letting everyone gush over her. :) and feed me. hehe.
Check out these lovely shots of a Floater/Open House Style Sip n’ See that Chris put together from Celebrations at Home.
So many fun details that went perfectly with their theme:
So many fun details that went perfectly with their theme:
The colors of the nursery, lots of pink with green and brown accents.
They set up a snacks and drinks table so the guests could help themselves as they came through.
The decor is just precious and so personal…frames with quotes about little girls, florals accented with pink plastic pacifiers, hanging poms and fans, and the baby’s monogram (LGF) used in several places.
They kept the pink theme going in the food and drink area…oreo truffles dipped in pink chocolate coating, pink lemonade, pink marshmallows on the hot chocolate bar, and strawberry milk shots for the younger ones who came by! She did such a great job!!
would you ever do a Sip n’ See Shower??
i love that it took both of us to change her haha. we still tag team!! ;)

April 30, 2010 at 1:39 pmWhat a fun idea! I had a really horrible delivery and recovery so I could not imagine coming home to a party!!! But so glad things went great for you and that you were able to enjoy your coming home with so many special people.

May 1, 2010 at 1:18 pmthis is such a sweet idea. i think it’s a bit too ambitious for me… i don’t know if my teeth will get brushed or my bed will be made for months after sage arrives. so i couldn’t imagine getting together a party. although, it would be so fun!
