Preparing for Toddler Meal Time – Gerber Good Start

Asher might look like a toddler but he’s only 8 months. haha.
A lady once asked if he could have a sucker. um nope.
I love how he’s in the stage where he’s connecting more with
his siblings and wanting to play and eat when they eat.
He’ll be one in October and I’m sure he is going
to want to drink what looks like his big brother drinks! ;)

Meal time in our house isn’t as relaxing as you would imagine….lol.
I’m sureee  you picture my angelic children sitting still,
using utensils, indoor voices and patting their little mouths with napkins.

They are amped about life. a lot of the time.
Lots of correcting and redirecting going on over here in this season of life! ;)
We are working on the art of eating slowly…so that mommy and daddy
can get their firsts done before they want seconds.
Asher is nursing and eating baby food. He always looks
around like, “where’s mine??” when we all sit down for a meal.
So he usually has some baby food when we eat a meal.
He sneezed baby food all over ben the other day….it was amazing.

I know soon Asher’s going to be ready for the next stage.
It’s coming fast!
The transition to toddlerhood will be a big milestone for Asher, but for me as well!
Cue the tears. (Although he already weighs as much as some toddlers. haha.)

I like knowing that I can serve him table food, helicopter it in,
but if meal time doesn’t go as planned…
I can still ensure Asher’s getting what he needs.
