It’s not every day that we have a clean Dining Room table! Anyone else relate? Haha. But when it’s clean it makes me so happy.
This space is what you see as you walk into our home and I love how it feels!
I remember walking through this space when it was just drywall…I couldn’t wait to set up our Dining Room! I was so excited to have a pretty space for my favorite treasures and to hang photos of my people on the wall! The coffer ceiling was a detail I just fell in love with when looking at build options. It makes it feel so lovely in there!
I also loved how our Dining room in our build felt very open…it wasn’t a closed off room but felt very open with the rest of the house while still having a defined Dining room space!
We’ve been moving furniture around here trying to figure out the best spot for the Dining tables we had. I ended up putting our circle table in here. It fit the best in the space and I love that we can still all fit around it. (We can fit 7 chairs!)
Canyon City Tan Dining Table- Rooms to Go
We’ve had these white metal chairs from Amazon for years. Love them-so easy to clean up with kids and can easily stack them to keep babies from climbing them. haha.
I’m waiting on 2 more of the same chairs…. and this space will be good to go! (We have the same white chairs around our kitchen table!)
We used our DIY IKEA shelves (we made these yearssssss ago. super easy for you to do too.)
I love putting out all of my favorite dishes. We’ve never had anything break either- the bottom to levels are “non breakable” items…metal or wood!
The kids have grown up with this set up and they don’t really give it much attention. It works!
Our curtain rods are from Target and the panels are from IKEA.
Our foyer is one of my favorite parts of the house…I love that it’s so high and open as you walk in. I always had a plan to set up an entry table here and decorate it seasonally!
I did a blog post on that set up here: Foyer Entry Table.
We have six kids…so as much as I try to keep things clean there’s gonna be messes and LOTS OF SHOES at the door. haha.
So to help us stay organized, I got this basket at At Home. It’s the perfect spot to drop shoes in so we can keep it from getting crazy throughout the day. It’s also a good little chore for Hunter or Asher to handle.
Our gallery wall is something that makes me smile every time we walk by it! All of these frames we already had. (from our past house set up!)
You can learn more about how I do my gallery wall’s in my tutorial post!
I would love to have it go to the floor…and maybe one day I will haha. But I’ve learned over the years that this is the best height with my kiddos. and the bottom rows are also no glass frames.
We eat most of our meals at the kitchen table…but when we have company we overflow to this room. We also like to use this space for puzzles. (away from tiny baby hands in the family room!) I love that I have a “formal” dining room to set up fancy when we want that. It’s going to be so pretty for Christmas!
I feel like such an adult getting excited about a dining room but it’s a thing. haha. Next time I share this space it’ll be decked out for the Holidays! Can’t wait!
Thanks for stopping by!
