Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Hotel: Family- and Rainy Day- Friendly!

May 16, 2024

One of the best parts about living in the Charlotte area is just how close we are to the beach! Myrtle Beach is an easy 3.5 hour drive and you’re immediately in vacay mode!
If you are planning a trip to Myrtle Beach, with kids, I wanted to share a great oceanfront hotel option!
We stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront and it was the perfect set up.
This trip was not hosted or sponsored — to quote my 4 year old…sharing is caring. haha. ;)

Top reasons I loved it…

1. It’s right on the beach.

2. It also has an indoor pool, lazy river, hot tubs and water slides!

This is PERFECT for those rainy or cold beach days… you get the best of both worlds! The beach vibes, while still being able to have fun in the water. After our stay, I knew I wanted to share the full scoop and photos because it ended up being such a great set up for our family.

The hotel is walkable to the Myrtle beach boardwalk and Ferris wheel. Plenty of food options you can dine in or order takeout and bring back to the hotel/pool area. Beautiful sidewalks along the beach so you can push the stroller and keep kids somewhat contained as you walk the beach. My girls loved being able to sit out on the balcony and watch the ocean. (ps. they have high kid locks on the balcony doors.)
I loved how we could enjoy the views even after the littles went to bed.

Chase was a happy boy haha. Pizza in the hotel room!

The location is located near plenty of activities. Of course you have the put put places and restaurants and gift shops…but we always visit two places:

1. Broadway at the Beach

2. Barefoot Landing

My kids LIVE for hotel breakfast – that is always a highlight of their trips. haha. It’s part of the whole vacation experience right? Waking up and going down for breakfast.. my kids loved it all. They also have a game area with a ping pong and pool table.

Vacation with kids is usually not “vacation” at all…but when you set yourself up for wins it’s a way better experience. This hotel ended up being great for us- as a family of 8 with some rainy/chilly beach days – mixed into our trip. Something for everyone!

Was this blog post helpful? I hope so!! My goal is always to share things that will help you in your own motherhood and family life. And getting a scoop on a great family vacay spot seems like a great topic – I know we always love to find fun places to visit that are great for our family!
