My Cookie Exchange Party-The Fun & Festive Details!

December 20, 2010

The Cookie Exchange Party was a great night with friends!
I loved seeing the variety of cookies people brought..so fun.
And I was so impressed with their baking skills! everything was deee-lish.

I had a blast putting together some fun & festive details
for the party… have a look!
here’s what i baked up for the cookie exchange…
reese’s peanut butter cup cookies! new favorite cookie. pretty much a jazzed up peanut blossom.

Each girl wrote on the inside of a card their name and recipe.

I made these up quick to tape to some dollar store pencils.
just an added fun touch! just cut out, glue stick, wrap, and cut end!

printed the graphics up on glossy white paper and wala..pretty tags!
go home and throw that on the fridge and feel awesome. haha.

Here’s 2 of our 4 winners of the night..
Katherine my Sister-In-Law! She won best tasting…tear* so proud. ;)
And then this is Sarah’s blog debut.she was very excited about. hahah.
ps. sarah is fantastic with babies (as shown below)
she also enjoys long walks on the beach..for all my single guy blog followers.. (?? haha.)
pss. she also had on fabulous grey jeans from target..need i say more?

I loved how the favors turned out!
Practical items you could actually use all year long!

our attempt at a group photo with a self-timer shot.
they had me run in the middle and squat. haha. lovely.
how cute are these girls?? :)

We ended up teaming up with my husband’s youth group parents and chipped in cookies for a bake sale at our church the following day to help fundraise for the youth program. Some of the girls left cookies instead of taking them home..and some baked extra!
I thought it ended up being a great way for us to have a fun night and give back at the same time!
So many of the youth group kids have amazing stories.. we’ve been able to see first hand them growing in their relationship with Jesus..turning to Him in their suffering and rejoicing with Him in the good times. and i think we all know how important it is to have youth programs for our kids..
so we were excited to be a part of helping the ministry for them continue!

thanks again girls for coming to the party and for your donations
of cookies towards the youth group bake sale!
I had a blast with you guys! and I am enjoying your cookies. very much. :)

**During the Party we talked about doing another get together sometime and having one of their bakery owner friends come over and teach us all how to decorate cookies like the pro’s..
doesn’t that sound fun!? party time! ;)**

    Hey Natalie,
I bought some of those cookies at the bake sale after mass — asked Ben if he stayed up all night baking! :-) The chocolate chip cookies I bought were DEEELICOUS! Hope the Youth Group made a little “dough.”
