DIY Homemade Gifts
Homemade gifts are so much more special! It shows the person you took the time and thought of them personally. I love them because i love getting creative and giving myself little projects. but also because you can give a lovely gift while not going over your budget for the holidays! i think gifts like this give you time to not be stressed out about gift shopping and remember the true reason for the season.

Monogrammed Apron – Cooking Gift

“For a hostess who loves to cook, say thank you with an apron monogrammed with iron-on transfer letters. In keeping with the culinary theme, include some wooden kitchen utensils and a blank recipe book. You can personalize the book’s cover with a sticker printed with a customized stamp.” – http://www.countryliving.com/
Jewelry Magnets

“Instead of letting vintage brooches gather dust in your jewelry box, turn them into refrigerator magnets: Use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the pin hardware from the back of each brooch (most fittings will come off easily); then affix a superstrong magnet with a small bead of glue — we used Gorilla Super Glue. Let dry overnight. Your grocery list has never looked more glam!” – www.countryliving.com

We are having a cookie exchange this weekend and was trying to figure out something easy for the kids to do. I bought all the stuff to do the pretzel sticks with, I’ll have to get peppermints sticks so they can do them too. Thanks for the tip!
