It’s been so fun decorating our house for our first Halloween here!
Using things we had + an easy DIY wreath made it come together! Sharing all the details in today’s post.
My pots had ferns in them and I’m keeping them mostly alive so we are gonna rock them out! haha. Mums is not an option for me. I immediately fry those babies. You too??
I used the faux pumpkins we already had on the front porch. (Pumpkins don’t last long here in the Carolinas!) They were great finds, from Michael’s, years ago..and I always see them there each year.
They have the craft ones (the white ones and then look out for the more bumpy ones in different colors!)
I added some of our bats we used inside…outside! I just used poster removable putty to hang them up and it’s been working well. Here’s a bat kit I just got off Amazon that are similar to these.
Our ‘hey there pumpkin’ doormat is from Kirklands and the black and white buffalo check rug is from Hobby Lobby.
The wreath holder is from last year at Target. (Couldn’t find it to link.) Last year we had a very orange wreath and I wanted to make a new one for this look but needed an EASY DIY. Life is always zooming right? I got the basic grapevine 24″ wreath at Hobby Lobby for $8.99! Then went down both the floral and Fall floral aisles to pick out some picks. The Fall ones were discounted! woohoo for a budget friendly DIY.
This wreath came together SOOO fast…(like 5 minutes tops.) I just put out the pieces on the wreath to get a visual of how it would turn out…liked it..and just stuck them into the branch wreath. They picks pop into the grapevine wreath easily and you can bend and arrange them. You could also add ribbon or any type of fall floral to really make this your own style!
I also wanted to make sure it was a wreath I could easily change up and use for November. The spiders are just tied on with the black twist ties that they were attached to the store packaging with. So I can easily twist them off and be good to go for the rest of Fall!
I’m so happy with how the front door Halloween decor came together! It’s the perfect pop of spooky for us.
Next post I’ll share the entire house so you can see the rest of the spooky decor. ;)
Happy Fall Y’all!
