Happy Halloween from our family to yours! I love this holiday and all the nostalgia it brings. :) Here’s a photo dump of the memories we made.
Here we have the whole crew….. Mom: Astronaut. Dad: Phillies Fan. Sophia: Modern Merida from Brave. Sienna: Monkey. Micah: Link. Asher: Black Ninja. Hunter: Blue Ninja. Chase: Astronaut.
We thought for sure the rain was going ruin the night but it let up around 6:30 and just gave the kids lots of puddles to jump in. haha. Some friends and my parents joined us for trick or treating! We ended up meeting up with neighbor friends at the clubhouse before going around and let me tell you…pure chaos. haha. Trying to gather and keep an eye on this many kids was like herding cats! haha. Everyone had a good time though and it was fun seeing the joy and excitement on their faces.
Chase is 2.5 this year for Halloween and he was INTO IT. He got it. we go door to door and get the good stuff. after every door he would run back to us just as shocked as the first house that there was candy in a bowl there. haha. He would NOT let anyone hold his candy bucket. that kid walked a good 2.5 miles with a heavy bucket. He earned that candy. ;) Everyone really filled up those pillow cases!
My dad was tick or treating/eating as he went haha. Ever so often he would grab a treat for the road haha.
Still so happy with how the front porch and pumpkins arch turned out!! :) You can get a tutorial here – PUMPKIN ARCH TUTORIAL.
It held up great through rain and wind. Can’t wait to use it next year!
We had some other amazon spiders over the garage and under the girls’ window but I never got around to snapping a photo. The ones under the porch are from Target. I used these babies to hang everything up-vinyl siding hooks! I saw the target pillows are on sale right now so grab them online for next year-the kids loved them!
And then the best part of the night….heading home to dump out your loot and trade candy!
I had gotten a circle balloon arch stand for my friend’s baby shower a few days before…so I decided let’s keep the party going and make up a Halloween arch for the kids. This stand is seriously my favorite Amazon purchase! I used balloons I already had…and bats we already had…and made a festive little photo op. It added to the Halloween fun!
Now that’s a haul!!! Link was happy.
Of course I made chili and cornbread – it’s our Halloween dinner tradition! They all got SO MUCH CANDY…. that I’m enjoying while they are at school. haha.
It was a wild night and lots of fun. These are the memories I hope my kids will always hold onto as they grow old….I know I will!
