Chase is obsessed with Stitch, so of course we had to throw him a Stitch themed 4th Birthday party! Here’s the full party theme run down for all my Stitch loving friends! I’m sharing all the affordable Amazon party finds and easy DIY details that took the party theme up a notch in fun!
It was so fun seeing Chase all smiley running around in his stitch costume!
Child Stitch Costume
He also toted around his stitch plush that was a birthday present, and a party detail, that we had out on the table. :)
First up the treat table! Chase was so excited about this and there were some clear front runners in popular items on this table! The candy kabobs were immediately snatched up by all the party guests. Anything on a stick kids love haha. The pudding cups were also a hit!
I love to personalize plastic snack size cups with stickers to make them on theme! Affordable and the kids always love picking their favorite container/sticker off the table. These are the plastic containers I used (plus another smaller style from Hobby Lobby) and then I got these packs of stickers: Stitch stickers and 88 pcs Stitch Stickers. So affordable and you get so many! We used leftovers for party favors and my kids grabbed a bunch for their water bottles too.
Here’s a close up of the popular pudding cups! The umbrellas and turtles gummies were the selling points on these I think. ;)
I made up labels in photoshop (you could also use canva.com!) and they helped bring the stitch and Lilo cuteness!
I just print my designs onto white card stock paper.
The cupcake toppers were a mix of stitch toppers from Amazon, (similar toppers) and then I made up some with Chase on them too!
I just felt like Chase was too cute and I had to make him the focal point of the treat table!
I had taken photos of him in our sunroom, uploaded them to photoshop and erased the background.
I didn’t feel like spending $$$ on sending to printer and going to pick up etc etc…so instead I just sliced up the image in photoshop and saved it so that when I went to print I could scale it larger. I just taped the pieces together and got my large print! (You can find tutorials online to do it.) The kids LOVED big Chase and my nephew was the funniest about it – YOU DID DAT?? CHASE SO BIG! It felt right to put him on a surf board and add stitch with him! ;)
The ocean diy was a fun one…It’s just ripping paper really!
I didn’t have blue paper with white on the reverse side….so I just glued white construction paper to my blue construction paper….and ripped to make the white ocean waves effect! They really just do appear like that it’s the coolest.
The palm trees were another EASY DIY that we knocked out in minutes. The boys helped! All it takes is a pool noodle, brown paper lunch bags and green construction paper! You cut the tops and bottoms off of the paper bags and slide them onto the pool noodles. I taped the bottom one so they stayed put as I filled it up. Tape the top one and you’re done with that step. Then just cut out your palm tree leaves and tape on.
The luau grass table skirt was a find from Amazon.
I absolutely love how his cake turned out! All I did was take a store-bought cake, scrape off the top of red flowers, and add my own details! I’ll do a blog post on it but it really was so fun to decorate and then we just added the stitch figures! Here are similar figures!
I had originally ordered a stitch backdrop for the dessert table – but accidentally ordered one too big haha.
BUT the kids loved it so much we kept it and hung it up as a photo op. It was so cute seeing everyone taking photos there with stitch- he ended up being the same height as most of the party guests! ;)
It was so fun celebrating our Chase!
I added a little detail at the front door and stuck out a bunch of stitch themed yard signs.
Chase was so excited to pass out his party favors! Something so fun about those cheap plastic party favor bags for kids haha. We filled them with a bag of goldfish and his favorite kinder chocolates. We also had little stitch notebooks for the kids that my kids were so pumped about. They love to doodle.
As guests arrived, Chase would tell his friends to pick their favorite color lei to wear. :)
We had a whole spread of kid drinks and more snacks in the kitchen!
(I put the drinks for the adults in the fridge drawer where they can grab them.)
I knew I wanted to have something festive going on on the island and this made the most sense to use that space as a place for the drinks – but make it on theme! I am still obsessed with this inflatable buffet cooler! I was using it inside so I went ahead and bagged up the ice into jumbo ziplock bags. That way, there was no melting ice and kids dripping water everywhere. Worked great.
We had fruit, applesauce pouches, juice boxes and mini sodas.
Around the island I strung up another luau grass table skirt from the 2 pack I got.
Over the island I just took party fish nets off amazon and filled them with blue balloons. Easiest decoration!
I was SO EXCITED about recreating Lilo’s classic red dress pattern for the table. I used red paper from Hobby Lobby…covered the table with it. Then just cut out a bunch of white leaves from white card stock paper…and taped to the table!
We had a bounce house outside and the kids got all their energy out – mostly. ;)
Chase LOVED it. – If possible, always say yes to a bounce house haha. It keeps the inside destruction at a minimum! ;)
Love these sweet boy so much! How is he 4?!?
Wasn’t he just born during the first week of quarantine?! gah! Crazy.
I went with our go to favorite party game! We called this one ‘Punch a Pineapple’ but basically it’s just kids punching a plastic cup, covered with tissue paper, and seeing what little surprise they get inside! I got mini squishes that my kids always love. I found ocean themed ones for a great price and the kids got excited to see what they got.
We also had stitch tattoos set up and Sophia volunteered to be the tattoo artist for the party. ;)
Chase requested that his go on his “muscle” which is his elbow in his mind. haha.
He was THRILLED with himself. We also had stitch sticker activity pages on the coffee table that were immediately played with!
Cake time! He was overflowing with joy seriously the best! So grateful for all of our friends and family who came to celebrate our Chase. It was such a fun afternoon!
