Chase’s Mickey Themed 3rd Birthday Party

February 22, 2024

This party recap post is long overdue, but I’m so excited about sharing this theme! It was a fun one! I always link all my party finds on my Amazon Page! If you’re working up a Mickey themed party, you are going to love today’s post. Lots of fun details that were easy to put together and made it such a great celebration for Chase turning 3!  You can see the party in action through my reel over on @athomewithnatalie

Look at Chase’s cute face!! He wore his sweatshirt (that he wore to Disney.) The rest of us also wore mickey shirts we had gotten for our last Disney trip. It worked out great! During the party, I wore my Minnie ears— comfiest pair I have!

Sharing all the dessert table details below but this is one of the details I really loved! The classic mickey sticker is so cute and it’s from a huge pack of stickers. Chase passed out the other stickers and mickey tattoos to his party guests!

It was such a fun time celebrating our Chase! He greeted all his buddies by passing out mickey ears! :) I love crafting with my Cricut, and made a few fun details for the party. Grabbed some free font off dafont.com and then created Chase’s own little Clubhouse logo. Used it on the door and entry table in a large size… and then made some tiny versions to use as cupcake toppers.

Below you can see a little mickey sign I made with cake boards. I just spray painted them black – and added text via my Cricut. “Come inside it’s fun inside!” The Pluto cutout is part of a pack of yard signs I got off Amazon. (You’ll see the rest of the gang displayed in the kitchen!)

Here’s a run down of the dessert table!  I bought this piece of plywood from Lowe’s to use as my backdrop. I did a little photo shoot with Chase in the sunroom…edited out the background and made up a Photo Booth strip design in Photoshop. I emailed it to my local Office Depot and had them printed. Cut them into strips and LOVE how they turned out! I was inspired by Lovely Indeed!

I took black card stock paper, cut out little mickey shapes, taped to glittery ribbon and attached to the front of the table. Chase loved pointing them out!
The balloon garland was easy to put together with my electric pump and a balloon arch strip. I like to get my balloons from Hobby Lobby. They can be blown up the day before and still look great the day of the party!

My kids love a container of snacks! I got some cute plastic containers and mickey stickers off amazon. We filled them up with mickey goldfish. It was such an easy little DIY for the party but one of my favorite details! I bought store-bought cupcakes, and used thin ores to make mickey ears. (Chase LOVED THAT.)
I picked out a few more of Chase’s favorite things for his treat table… dumdum’s (red)… popcorn in cute popcorn bags (here’s similar ones)mickey themed fruit snacks…mini Oreos… and mini cupcakes! My mom got this ferris wheel at Home Goods years ago and had spray painted it red. It was the cutest touch and I’m so glad she let me borrow it for the table!

The little candy dispenser full of skittles was from Hobby Lobby. The kids had a blast with it and it just gave me Mickey Mouse clubhouse vibes so I bought it for the table.

We put some plates on the kitchen counter for everyone to use for the cake, treats and snacks. Made a fun little mickey shape with the different sizes.
Chase was so excited about his cake. I did our go to Hershey chocolate cake from Walmart (everyone always raves over it. ALWAYS.)… and we made it festive with some characters on top!
I love the toppers I made to put on the Rice Krispie treats. By the way, we have Rice Krispie treats at almost every party…it’s a staple and always snagged first by the kiddos! They usually prefer them over cupcakes! I grabbed some cute Mickey cupcake toppers off Amazon and was super impressed with the quality and how many I got for the price. We still have a bunch!

We had a food area set up on the kitchen island!
I did a little balloon garland and then took a metallic streamer door decor…cut it up…and tucked it into certain places. It felt right! :)
I used our clear storage bins (that usually hold kid dishes in the pantry) and used them to tape and prop up the Mickey and friend signage! I got this mickey yard signs set off Amazon. The quality was amazinggggg and exactly the type of character displays I wanted! Couldn’t believe the price.

Hot dogs seemed like the right way to go for feeding a crowd with this theme! I had all the toppings out plus chili over on the stove. The adults liked that option! We kept it pretty simple and just had chips and a fave party snack. (Have you ever tried cream cheese with red pepper jelly?? Serve it next time with your salami and crackers- always a hit!)

We had Mickey Mouse themed (mess free) coloring pages out on the coffee table for the little ones to enjoy! We also put out some of Chase’s old (and new!) Mickey and friends plushies! It was cute seeing the little ones taking turns just carrying them around the house and party.

We had a bounce house outside and I honestly love lining this up for house parties. It’s a great way to let the kids get energy out, without your house getting destroyed! haha. Chase was so sweet running and hugging friends when they arrived!

Chase was so giddy about his cake and smiley when everyone was singing to him!
I love using figurines on the cakes because they double as a present. He can enjoy them way after the party day is over. Also, whenever I see them in his room, or in his chubby little hands, I think about this fun party. :)

I’m obsessed with how his party turned out and how happy Chase was!! Mickey theme every year sounds good to me! hehe ;)
