    We’re being more intentional and relational with our purchases and overall, buying less this Christmas. Rather than exchanging gifts with my brother-in-law and his wife, we’re having a “charity game night” where we will pool our money together and the winner of the game night gets the money for the charity of their choice. We are buying gifts for our 18-mo-old daughter, but it is a mix of things she needs and fair trade/one-for-one gifts that give back, so we’re spending less but “giving” more.     To save money during Christmas gift buying season, I did a bulk of my shopping on cyber Monday, with codes that I had accumulated. I also did whatever shopping that I could on a charitable site called psiadoreyou.com They’re amazing! They feature unique, quality items at a major discount and they give a portion of the proceeds to families with children who have cancer. Awesome cause! Check it out! Still have a lot of shopping to do, so $100 towards that fund would be incredible for us, especially since we’re having a small christmas this year- just gifts for our daughter. Thanks!

    To save money for the holidays, I buy early and always when stuff is on sale! Black Friday is the best day. Plan your lists way ahead so you know if it will be on sale during Black Friday. email: katiehesler@gmail.com

    I research every item I want to buy to find the best price and where I could use coupons/codes or hit sales, etc. I also use Swagbucks to help bring the price down!

    My holiday shopping strategy is to share the shopping list. I give the kids list to all my family and they let me know what they are getting in ahead of my shopping then I finish the list. By the time the family and grandparents finish shopping there are only 1 or 2 items left:)

    I start shopping early, and buy things when they are on sale. I love when Target runs their buy 2 boxes of diapers, get a $20 gift card promotion. I save up those gift cards and use them to buy Christmas gifts.

    I keep a wishlist on my iphone, and shop year round by keeping my eye out if anything on the wishlist goes on a deep discount. I mostly shop on Amazon too, so I keep things in my cart and when I see something go way down in price I jump on it! I guess its a more slow-going, mindful way to shop! I’m also a big fan of Ultimate Rewards and Chase.

    I started pretty early this year, especially on sites like Groupon. I got a few people out of the way doing that, and then I went out on Black Friday and scored some great deals! It’s all about planning enough ahead of time, which can definitely be difficult. My mind is constantly thinking in the future though, so that helps =)

    I’m doing my best to limit to a rough dollar amount and to keep it to a “want, need, wear” guideline, especially for the kids. They’ll get swamped with gifts from aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends, so there’s no need for overkill from us.

    I use amazon prime mostly for our shopping. Free 2 day shipping and usually the best prices you can find. I’m also keeping down the # of gifts we are getting and only trying to add on to stuff we already have.

    To save money every Christmas, I always plan ahead and go Black Friday Shopping…whatever I do not get then usually waits until Cyber Monday and I buy online using my E-bates account. It saves us money and I use my credit card to buy getting my points too…it’s a 2-fer. Merry Christmas!!!

    I start making my list for my daughter early so I can buy her things here and there and it’s not a lot of money going out all at once. I also shop around for the best price and always google for coupon codes when shopping online!

    Since getting married on April20th I am now purchasing gifts for roughly 25 people and enjoy gift giving!! I love to shop year round and to listen to each person I am gifting for in something they really want instead of just another shirt or pants or something the kids won’t use. Etsy and homemade is also my choice Togo to be able to support others! I love gift giving the most just to see everyone’s faces and if I spread it out throughout the year it works better!!

    I try to shop throughout the year but this year we bought a new house and my husband start a new job so I wasn’t really able to do that this year! It will be a small Christmas for our boys, but I would love to buy my husband a surprise gift because he really deserves it!!
