Baby time is around the corner!
I wanted to share what I’m packing in my Hospital bag for Baby #4’s arrival!
I know everyone has certain things they always pack or don’t care about packing… here’s my list!
Camera Bag.
I love being able to snap some photos of our babies when they are hours old!
I’ve never had a photographer come, but usually take turns with ben capturing some photos.
I’m going to grab some video footage of just the baby this time too…
I saw another mom do that and then put together a video for their birthday and it was SO precious!
We usually set up the camera to video when the kids see their sibling for the first time.
Memories I never want to forget!
Clothes for baby!
We don’t know what we are having, so I have a few outfits for boy and a few outfits for girl!
Some old and some new. I love buying baby clothes after the baby comes…probably even more than before.
I wear the baby and head to target. ;) Mommy date!
Clothes for Me!
There are certain items I can’t live without when going to the hospital.
1. Outfit to go home in. Maternity clothes because you’re going
to want to be comfortable..anddd..you will still have the bump. ;)
2. Comfy pajama pants! I got these at Target for the end of my pregnancy..so comfortable!
I have two pairs of these knit pajama pants: purple and grey.
3. I had this pajama set for Micah’s birth..and loved how comfy it was and presentable for company.
They don’t have these specific ones anymore but here’s a similar option in silk: Pajama Set
4. Hospital gown and a robe.
The Designer Hospital Gown is by Dear Johnnies.
The robe is from Target – Xhilaration Robe in Pink
5. THESE….are my all time most suggested thing for your hospital bag and first few months of baby.
They are a must for easy nursing. I lived in these. Target – Gilligan O’Malley Nursing Tanks
Toiletries and Makeup
I pack the basic toiletries you would bring on a trip away…
(Facewash:neutrogena foaming cleanser Toner:neutrogena pore refining toner
Moisturizer: cetaphil moisturizing cream)
But one key thing. Dry Shampoo! I use the Dove brand daily. (even on clean hair for some texture!)
I also pack some lansinoh breast pads and lansinoh cream.
I used to pack always infinity pads, but the hospital usually gives you ones that are way better!
You won’t need those till you run out later when you get home.
I packed the products I use for my curly hair..but also a straightener.
Sometimes you get a little stir crazy in the little hospital room and have
time to actually do your hair while daddy holds baby.
I don’t know if I’ll use it, but I like having the option!
MAKEUP:
I know some people don’t care about packing this stuff…
But I like to freshen up and pack the basics!
Some key makeup items I use to make me look awake and not totally sleep deprived:
Mac Mineralize Concealer (for Under Eye) – Mac Cosmetics
Benefit Cosmetics Foundation Stick – Ulta
Maybelline Full n’ Soft Waterproof Mascara (Very Black) – Target
Items not linked….a blush and an eyelash curler.
I can do this makeup in 5 minutes and feel fresh and ready for the day.
Treats for Mom. (and dad.)
A little something chocolate and a little something sour!
If I don’t have this baby soon I’ll keep adding more. lol.
Soft things for Baby
I always pack a few burp cloths, swaddlers and blankets. Loveee a little baby burrito!
1. Yellow Stripe Swaddle from Pehr Designs
2. Burp cloths from Witt’s End Design. They are so cute and soft.
3. I think I got the green and white stripe blanket years ago at target.
I’ve used it with the past 2 babies. It’s great for nursing and is sentimental now. Had to pack it!
4.LOVE these blankets from lulujo baby! A Pink one for a girl and a Blue one for a boy!
5. I used these SwaddleMe’s from Target when I had Micah and they were great.
I didn’t use them till he was bigger, so I grabbed the smaller size for this baby!
Of course..bring the car seat!
And I’m SO excited to use this product I’ve seen all over Instagram… Milk Snob Cover!
It’s multifunctional and I love the stripe! perfect for a boy or girl.
You can cover the car seat with it, nurse with it or even swaddle the baby in it.
I always bring gifts for our Labor + Delivery Nurses.
I think they deserve it. Nurses are amazing! It also helps you quickly become their favorite patient! haha.
I shared a post on this version I made up: Labor + Delivery Nurse Gifts DIY
I usually bring about 12 to the hospital with me. And then pass out any extras at the desk when we leave.
Usually I give the kids or other hospital visitors some too. I just like having something to pass out. :)
I also pack (in an IKEA bag and leave it in the car) gifts for the kids from baby!
This year I picked out something snuggly for each of them to take home after seeing us.
I added a little pink bow to the girls’ stuffed animals. (all from IKEA!)
I hope this post on my Hospital Bag was helpful!
(Here’s my Hospital Bag from Baby #3– Micah)
Everyone likes to bring different things, but this is what I like to have with me!

Second the Target nursing cami/tanks, they are amazing! ! I wore them almost the first three months straight with boys 1+2 and am sure I will with BabyT#3 as well.

September 11, 2015 at 8:46 amWow- is there anything you haven’t thought of?! The idea of gifts for the nurses is so good- I imagine that really makes their day when a patient just leaves a little thank you :)

September 14, 2015 at 12:17 pmI have been lurking around your blog for the longest time Natalie, you’re awesome you know. I followed some of your DIY’s, although not as perfect as yours but it made my kiddo’s smile bright with joy. And aha! this post I will remember, so that my husband will have more reason to smile when another bundle of joy is coming. I’m talking about the treats for mom and dad. Never thought of that before… we oh so love Milanos!
