I love makeup and have been wanting to share my
tried and true favorite items along with new favorites from February!
I’ve also been asked what my Skincare regimen is so here you go.
If you’re looking for new makeup or skin products to try, keep on reading!
I’m linking most items to amazon so if you’re like me and want to hop
on Amazon Prime, click and be done…you’ll have it all in one spot!
(There are affiliate links in this post. These are all items I already own and use!
Some are linked to Ulta or Target if the price is better!)
First up is my skincare regimen.
I’ve been doing this for years and love it.
I use the Neutrogena Foaming Cleanser, then the Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner
and then Moisturize with the Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream.
I use waterproof mascara every day…mainly because I like how it stays on and holds my lashes up!
And the face wash I use gets it all off. I don’t have to use a separate makeup remover cleanser.
I can’t rave about the Pore Refining toner enough! It’s a game changer guys.
If you feel like your skin is dry and dull you need to get it.
It helps to get all the dead skin cells off your skin and then you moisturize…
I love how my skin feels and how my makeup goes on.
I have a combo skin of dry and oily. But I’ve found the Cetaphil Cream is a perfect option for me.
I do this routine in the morning and at night before bed.
Life is moving fast around here, but I still love doing makeup!
I’ve found some key products that I use daily to help me QUICKLY look pulled together and fresh!
I LOVE makeup posts and makeup videos…
I watch them on youtube all the time while nursing Asher. I’ve learned so much haha.
I’m going to try and share a video on youtube one of these days showing my process, but I wanted
to at least get this post up so you can see what’s in my makeup bag right now!
MAKE UP FAVORITES – MARCH 2016
These are my current go to items!
I currently am using the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer – Pore Minimizing.
A girl on youtube suggested it and I’m lovinggg it. It helps take away shine and
I’ve been pleased with how it helps my makeup stay on!
Another, more affordable option, is the NYX Cosmetics Pore Filler.
I used to use that one but wanted to try the more expensive option to compare!
I like how both smooth the pores out but I think the Smashbox is better
about matting the skin and prepping for makeup.
You can also use the Smashbox one without makeup…
just for a smooth, non shiny, look!
The Foundation I LOVEEE and always tell people to get, is the Benefit Play Stick.
I have it in “spin the bottle.” The brush I use to apply it is the Sonia Kashuk Flat Top Brush.
Almost all of my brushes are by e.l.f. Love them. great price and they work great for me.
I have the e.l.f. contouring brush, e.l.f. Studio Eyeshadow “C” Brush and the e.l.f. Flawless Concealer Brush.
For my cheeks I use the e.l.f. Blush Brush.
I decided to get a little brave with my eyeshadow last month and get a whole palette and have fun with it.
I heard browns are great for making brown eyes pop and I have been loving this set!!!!
The L’Oreal Riche LaPalette Nude 01. It’s similar to the famous naked palette but much cheaper.
Maybe one day I’ll get that one but for now this one works great.
I used to use an e.l.f. eyeshadow primer but am currently loving the Maybelline MasterPrime Eyeshadow Base
because it comes in a few different options that you can wear by itself or with shadow.
I like the more matted eyeshadow so I got the prime and matte one.
(There is also a prime and illuminate and prime and smooth.)
Because I don’t sleep…….an undereye concealer is a MUST. this is gold guys.
I love the MAC Mineralize Concealer in NW15, but I’ve also found a drugstore option that is a little
more budget friendly and it’s the Maybelline Age Rewind Dark Circles Concealer. I get the Fair shade.
For Blush I am using Sonia Kashuk Beautifying Blush in Flamingo.
I recently tried a new bronzer that I found at Ulta and LOVED it. Was even happier when It was buy
one get one half off because I had also grabbed the highlighting powder next to it!
Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer Powder in Golden Days.
Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter Powder in Radiant Lights.
GET THESE. I love them and they immediately make me feel alive…
working with the under eye concealer to really help feel awake and fresh.
It helps define your cheekbones which is always nice. :)
I use the e.l.f Powder Brush to apply it.
I’ve been playing around with the The Balm Cosmetics’ Mary-Lou Manizer and so far love that as well!
Sometimes I’ll use that one instead of the Makeup Revolution highlighter…
It’s a little pricier so I suggest getting the other one and trying the look out first to see if you like it.
The Mascara I RAVE about all the time and have used since high school
is the Maybelline Full n’ Soft Mascara in very black.
I prefer the waterproof…I curl my lashes then put on a coat.
Then after I finish the rest of my makeup or do my hair then I curl again and do another coat of mascara.
For lips I have been loving the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in ‘Pink in the Afternoon’
The best Chapstick I’ve found (and I load it on my lips at bed time) is the Carmex Brand.
One of my newest and most loved makeup items HAS to be the NYX Micro Brow Pencil (in brunette)
that I heard about via youtube…. LOVEEE it.
I used to use a MAC brown shadow for my brows, but this is so much better.
I’ve had girls on IG message me that they got it after I shared it and they are in love with it too.
So. If you are a brow girl.. grab it up!
I love watching makeup videos on youtube…and eventually I want to
share (besides on periscope) my daily makeup routine.
I’ll try to get that together and up because I seriously do a speed makeup routine and know
I’m not alone with being limited in time but still wanting to have fun with makeup!
I hope you found some items to try out and love!
Do you have any go-to favorite products?! Share the knowledge!
Happy Weekend everyone.
XOXO

I love Cetaphil products also. They are wonderful… The whole family uses them, as they are such a great soap substitute. Love the moisturiser too.
