I was struggling to find pretty Christmas garlands for our staircase rails that weren’t going to break the bank! I really wanted full earthy look and just couldn’t seem to find the right thing.
UNTIL I took another trip to Hobby Lobby tried to think about some DIY options. None had the exact look I wanted, but I was hoping the bones were there that I could work with!
I found two garlands that, combined, were the perfect fullness and look I was wishing for!
I also snagged them each at half price so I was very happy with the price of my garlands.
The first garland I put on was from the Christmas section.
–Pinecone Berry Garland–
It came with 4 or so red/gold berry things… that I was able to cut off with wire cutters.
I attached them to the staircase railing with black zipties.
I then took another garland I found in the Floral section –Eucalyptus Garland– and layered that on top. I used black zipties again.
I wanted to add a little bit of how to the garlands and added some battery operated lights.
The mix of pinecones and other greenery was just what I was hoping for on or stair rails.
This is the first touch of Christmas we’ve got up this year and we can’t wait to start decorating more!
If you’re on the hunt for affordable full garlands that look like this..I hope you found today’s post helpful!
