Oreo Truffles

February 4, 2021

I’m a double stuffed Oreo loving girl over here! So you better believe Oreo Truffles make my list of favorite sweet treats to make! If you love chocolate and Oreos… you are going to love these! This is a recipe I’ve made for cookie exchanges and Holidays and it’s always a crowd pleaser. This past weekend my Sophia and I had some fun in the kitchen with a bake off…and guess what? These babies won the taste test by the kiddos! I’m still working on my chocolate dipping game haha. But hey! They taste good! ;)

Oreo truffles are so yummy and I like that you can change up the sprinkles to go with the theme you want! We have Valentine’s Day around the corner so we did some little heart sprinkles. How cute would these be in the shape of footballs, with white frosting stripes, for the Super Bowl?? If you want to wow your people with a delicious dessert, give this one a try!

WOOHOO for a 3 ingredient recipe!!
You’ll want to get regular Oreos. We had double stuf (because they are the best) so I used those. Any cream cheese will do…but I prefer to get the whipped cream cheese because it’s easier to stir it up.
We already had these candy melts so I used them. I prefer milk chocolate but you could use any kind you like!

INGREDIENTS:
1 Package of Regular Oreos. (Around 36 Oreos.)
8 ounces Whipped Cream Cheese
Melting Chocolate of choice

STEPS:
1. Put your Oreos in a food processor and pulse till you get fine crumbs.
We only have a small food processor, so it takes a few rounds of this. Dump crumbs into a big bowl.
2. Combine the Oreo crumbs and 8 ounces of cream cheese.
3. Roll mixture into balls (small is better… this is a sweet treat!) and place on parchment paper.
4. Pop the balls into the freezer to set up a bit.
5. Melt chocolate and dip balls and then place back on parchment paper.
6. If adding sprinkles or a topping, be sure to sprinkle them on before the chocolate hardens. Keep going till you’re all done!
7. Refrigerate for a bit before serving – they taste better chilled! Store in Refrigerator and Enjoy!

A larger food processor is on my want list. :) But for now this little baby gets the job done.
I like to have the instructions all in one place (above) and then scan through photos of how others made the recipe…so that’s how I’m setting up my posts. Hope this makes it easy for when you are making the recipe yourself! :)

Super easy and your people will LOVE you for making these….if you decide to share. ;)
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you give this recipe a try. I know you’ll love it!

These are a family favorite around my house!! Been making them for many, many years! :)
I take and scrape off the filling and cream that in with a block of softened cream cheese. The chocolate cookie part crumbs up better that way. I put mine in fridge instead of freezer (it hardens the chocolate too fast if they are too cold) and then I use Kroger chocolate almond bark to dip them in. SO GOOD!! Now I may just have to make mine some for Valentines Day too! :)
