Today I’m sharing a look into our Easter this year! It was definitely different this year with quarantine… but I was so grateful for this special day because I needed it! I needed a day of celebrating hope and Jesus’ love for us…a day of making extra special time with my family. I captured some of the moments with my phone and put this video together. This Easter morning was one of my favorite Easter basket moments… seeing all six baskets on the table and the kids’ happy faces made me so grateful for family and these fun memories. Everyone played together and ate all the sugar. Here’s some phone photos and video of our day!
I absolutely love this photo of the kids! It was a quick shot but it captured the moment!
Decorating for Easter was so good for my soul during this strange season! I loved being able to focus on something creative and making it festive around here. I don’t have much Easter decor so I tried to get creative with what we had… made a little bunny garland for some shelves!
The Easter Bunny brought lots of fun goodies for the kids!
The baskets themselves we got from Target ($5 ones!) because for the life of me I could not find all of the ones from last year…plus we needed one more. ;)
Each of the big kids had a game and a lego set which was great to keep them all playing.
And the big kids each got a book as well. The little boys each got a play doh set.
Plenty of yummy candies that they shared with mom. ;)
It was so fun seeing the kids dive into their Easter baskets together!
The big kids were checking out everything… while little Hunter wasted no time and broke into the candy as he discovered it. haha.
(He would take one bite and then move on to the next!)
Chase wasn’t as impressed with the Easter bunny’s basket for him….but I was excited for his new swaddles and cute outfits! The big kids loved that Chase’s easter eggs had pacifiers in them.
The day before Easter we dyed eggs and here’s how they turned out!!
We did the shaving cream technique. Soaked the eggs in vinegar for a few minutes before we dyed them and it really helped them soak up the color.
One of the ways we kept Easter the same this year…was with the food! We made a couple recipes that we do every year and the kids loved it.
Especially the sausage egg strata!
Here’s Dinner for our crew! This meal was different than normal (hard to find certain ingredients) but we had the ham and sweet potatoes and the kids are always fans of a fruit salad!
Here’s our self timer quarantine family photo! haha.
Thankful for all of these sweet faces!
We even got a photo of the two of us by Sophia!
Easter miracle! ;)
Hope you are having a good day and enjoyed seeing how we celebrated Easter over here!
