We just celebrated our sweet Sienna turning 9 with an Ice Cream Themed birthday party!
We kept it easy and fun with a Dessert Table, some snacks,
Sprinkles Photo Op Wall and a bounce house in the back yard. ;)
Today we’ll be sharing with you a video and photos of the celebration!
This was such a fun theme to put together for her and a HIT with the kids.
Can’t go wrong with an ice cream bar!
I always love getting creative with my kids’ parties…
it’s a hobby of mine that, as they get older, they are able to help me with.
It’s always bitter sweet seeing your kids grow up but every season has special moments.
I loved how my girls and I could sit around the kitchen table and paint the ice cream cones while we chatted!
Full tutorial for the ice cream garland coming soon…
but for now you can check out the basics and photos for Inspo!
DESSER TABLE:
For the backdrop I created some ice cream garlands using floral foam, paint and real ice cream cones!
It was fun choosing what flavors to do….Mint Chocolate chip, Orange Sherbert,
Strawberry, Vanilla with Sprinkles, Chocolate and Raspberry Sherbert.
I strung them up with twine and taped it to the wall.
I had the girls blow up balloons and I used shipping tape to attach them to the wall and each other.
The wooden 9 was from Hobby Lobby and I covered it with some sprinkles. (also from Hobby Lobby)
I just used basic glue for this project. The kids loved it!
For the treats, we had a variety of cones + cups to choose from…
A cookie cake and mini cupcakes (birthday girl’s request!)
and a wholeeee bunch of toppings!
I got cute wooden spoons and plastic containers from Hobby Lobby.
The ice cream labeled containers, pink spoons and the
white metal trays were from the Bargain Bings at Target.
The middle white tray is from Hobby Lobby. I have all of these
fun things in my dining room for occasions just like this. ;)
I kind of have a thing for white dishes/containers!
We had a root beer float station set up!
The root beer float sign is from Hobby Lobby years ago.
And then some salty and fruit snacks!
The metal trays are from Walmart- and we just filled them with some of Sienna’s favorite snacks.
I grabbed some pink shades card stock and cut out some sprinkles to tape around the house.
We had one main section where the kids could take fun photos
with ice cream themed props we got in the Bargain Bins.
It was such a fun time celebrating out Sienna with family and friends.
Thankful for everyone who came for her and enjoyed some sweet treats with us!
Thanks for stopping by to check out Sienna’s Birthday!
Sophia’s birthday party is this weekend so on to the next birthday DIY and we are loving it! haha.
