Last month the girls got a special treat…
American Girl offered to throw them a birthday party in their store!
They even let them each pick out a doll!
This was such a cool moment for me to be able to give the girls through my “job” as a blogger.
Seeing them light up and be able to pick any doll they wanted?? SO FUN!
I loved these dolls as a child so it made all the memories come back.
They were giddy and a little overwhelmed with all the cool options. ;)
We filmed the fun so you could tag along with us!
Do you have an American Girl store near you?
We went to the South Park mall location here in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Today I’m sharing photos, video and some details about the experience!
It’s magical in the American Girl store guys!
We had the private room for our festivities and
the staff was so kind and welcoming. They even brought coffee for dad. ;)
For the party they have a waitress or hostess for you the entire time. She led games, took orders, kept the
fun going and made the birthday girls feel special
They are able to choose an appetizer and entree. Then of course there is cake!
The food was really good and SO cute. (You’ll see it in the video!)
The room isn’t very large, so you have to keep that in mind when making your guest lists.
It only fits a certain amount of people (for fire code reasons) so you
have to count every person who is in there as a guest…
not just who is participating in the party. (like the girls)
That’s something I didn’t realize before. The private room made it feel special though…
and if you have a group that keeps things fun than you’ll enjoy it.
In the room they have all these dolls lined up on the wall…
and the girls are able to choose a doll to use while they are in the party room!
They have these cute highchairs for the girls to use for their dolls.
The girls all loved getting them set up and pouring them pink lemonade.
Each party guests received a little goodie bag of American Girl doll surprises.
AND a highlight for the girls was that they could take home the
little glass teacups their dolls used during the party.
Even the bow that ties the napkins together is really a hair tie that the girls can take home after!
The girls then were able to go out into the store and browse the dolls.
I loved American girl dolls when I was little… (felicity was my first AG doll!)
and two it was super special to have this moment with my own girls.
If you’ve never been inside one of the American Girl stores and bistros, you have to check it out!
Watch the video to get a peek at what they are like!
Thank you again to American Girl for giving my girls such a fun experience!
