Heading into the school year, I am all about easy dinner ideas, especially
if it helps me incorporate items I already have in my pantry!
Are you looking to add some new dinner ideas to
your meal planning? Today, I’m sharing a yummy
Crockpot Barbecue Sausage recipe that I love to feed my crew.
I use Eckrich Smoked Sausage because it’s just enough spice
for Ben and I but still perfect for the kids!
When you make this recipe in the crock pot your house will fill up with deliciousness.
The sausage simmers in the sweet barbecue sauce for hours and turns into this magical glaze.
Pair it with your favorite sides you’ll likely already have
handy in the kitchen, and you’ve won mom of the year!
Eckrich Smoked Sausage can be found in the deli section of your local grocery store. Eckrich is
made with a signature blend of spices for a rich, flavorful taste.
We always throw in our grocery cart because it’s versatile and can work with anything you have on hand.
My Polish hubby, actually, first introduced me to the Kielbasa
option way back when we first were married. I now use their products regularly in
family favorite recipes like the Haluski Kielbasa I’ve shared before.
We love the savory flavor of all of their products and how you
can whip up all sorts of recipes with it!
INGREDIENTS:
Eckrich Smoked Sausage
Favorite Barbecue Sauce
2 TB of Brown Sugar
DIRECTIONS:
Slice up Eckrich Smoked Sausage.
Dump in crock pot and pour barbecue sauce over the meat.
Sprinkle the brown sugar on top. Stir and cook for 3 hours on high.
The sauce will glaze up and turn into this delicious coating on the meat.
Serve with sides of your choice and Enjoy!
APPETIZER RECIPE OPTION:
If you are wanting to up this recipe, and use it as a party appetizer
instead of a dinner recipe, go light on the barbecue sauce and load up on the brown sugar!
We’ve done this many times and it
creates this yummy glaze on the sausage!
We put the crock pot right out on the counter for the
parties and people rave about it. ALWAYS get asked for the recipe!
The kids love the sweet and salty flavor of this recipe and we change it up with different sides.
Today we wanted to use some of the cucumbers from Grandma’s garden
and I was craving some mashed potatoes with the sausage!
It was all so yummy and I LOVE that we have easy
leftovers for tomorrow too.
